COVID-19 Information

Rx HealthCare Services has been following the progression of the COVID-19 outbreak since it first began. We take the situation very seriously and have ensured we remain informed.  We continually receive updates from various entities including: CDC, Department of Health, WHO, and CMS.  We modify any procedures or polices as indicated to ensure full compliance.

Most importantly is the safety of our patients, clients and our employees.  We do this by implementing measured, science-based interventions.  We take immediate action when needed to ensure compliance best practices are followed for the safety of all. Below outlines our basic protocols. Please note that we update actual practices in real time and this statement may not include the most recent actions in place.

Patients

As a home health, hospice or facility staffing provider, we travel to where our patients reside; be it home or a facility.  Our industry allows patients to shelter in place, thus minimizing their exposure to others.  Our healthcare providers or staff will contact patients (or household member) before a scheduled visit and ask a series of questions to ensure there will be no exposure to COVID-19.  Health care providers perform daily self-checks and follow strict infectious control practices ensure the safety of patients.

Since our focus is home healthcare, the likelihood of our patients contracting COVID are low. However, we have a plan in place should this happen.  We have HCP’s specially trained in infectious control specific to COVID. We also will coordinate isolation housing if necessary, for the HCPs to ensure minimal impact on the community.

Clients

Rx HealthCare Services provides Case Management for the HIV Positive population.  With permission from the CA Department of Health we have converted all our support services to virtual for our clients.  We still provide the same level of services; through phone and other remote options. Case Managers continue to work in a team setting (remaining socially distant) to ensure continuity of client care and compliance with strict HIPAA and other patient privacy laws.

Our Caregiving department serves those in our community who need extra help that is not directly healthcare related. Our caregivers contact clients (or household member) before a scheduled visit and ask a series of questions to ensure there will be no exposure to COVID-19.  Caregivers perform daily self-checks and follow strict infectious control practices ensure the safety of patients.

Staff

As noted, most of our employees work in a home or facility setting and take measures to ensure no exposure to their selves or others.  Our office-based employees adhere to strict requirements which include:  CDC screening questions and daily temperature checks for all employees (including field) who enter the building.  Office configurations have been changed to ensure safe distances between work areas.  All work areas have sanitation supplies and protocols including daily and frequent cleaning of higher touch areas.  Large meetings or gathering have been cancelled and replaced with smaller (socially distanced) meetings to ensure continuity of care and services.  The building is not open to the public.  Visitors are limited and must adhere to strict entrance guidelines including having temperature taken.

As a local privately held company, that has been in business for over 25 years, we remain committed to the health and safety of all interacting with Rx Healthcare Services.  Our company and experienced team have weathered many outbreaks and we are uniquely positioned to ensure we carry out infectious control measures that provide a peace of mind.  Our commitment to safety remains our top priority for those we serve and employ.
